Humane Society Endorses Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown for Re-Election
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (October 26, 2016) - With just under two weeks left until Election Day, today, Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown's (D-San Bernardino) campaign is announcing the latest endorsement in her re-election campaign from the Humane Society Legislative Fund’s Political Action Committee (HSLF PAC), the nation’s leading political action committee for animal welfare.
"California is leading the nation in animal protection policies, and it’s because of humane lawmakers like Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown, who stands up for the values of protecting animals from cruelty and abuse," said Sara Amundson, Treasurer of Humane Society Legislative Fund Political Action Committee. "We urge voters in the 47th Assembly District to support Cheryl Brown for re-election because she is committed to passing and enacting animal welfare legislation and upholding these laws.”
"I am proud of the work, we in the state legislature, have accomplished to protect our natural environment and support legislation that benefits animal welfare," said Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown. "It is truly an honor to receive an endorsement from the Humane Society Legislative Fund's Political Action Committee. I recommit my efforts on finding meaningful solutions to protect animals from cruelty and abuse."
The Humane Society Legislative Fund works to pass animal protection laws at the state and federal level, to educate the public about animal protection issues, and to support humane candidates for office. They endorse candidates based on a single criterion, where they stand on animal welfare.
