MAJOR PUBLIC SAFETY GROUP ENDORSES ASSEMBLY MEMBER BROWN FOR RE-ELECTION
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (November 23, 2015) –Today, Assembly Member Cheryl R. Brown (D-San Bernardino) announced the latest endorsement from the California Association of Highway Patrolmen (CAHP), a major public safety group representing approximately 14,000 active and retired California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.
“Assembly Member Cheryl Brown is a champion in helping keep our communities safe," said Doug Villars, CAHP President. "Through her legislative work in Sacramento, Assembly Member Brown has demonstrated a real concern for the safety of the public and our members. She has worked tirelessly to ensure that our officers have the necessary tools to keep our communities and highways safe. The CAHP is proud to endorse Assembly Member Brown's re-election campaign and we look forward to continuing our fine working relationship with her in the years to come."
"Day in and day out, our CHP officers put their own lives on the line to keep our communities safe. I am extremely honored to receive their trust with an endorsement from the California Association of Highway Patrolmen," said Assembly Member Brown. "I believe that all legislators have a duty to maintain safe communities for our residents. Together with the CAHP, we have worked hard to ensure that the Inland Empire receives its fair share of law enforcement resources and personnel."
Assemblymember Cheryl R. Brown was elected to the California State Legislature in 2012 to represent California's 47th Assembly District, and later won her re-election in 2014. The 47th Assembly District is located in the heart of San Bernardino County and includes Colton, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Rialto, San Bernardino, and the unincorporated communities of Bloomington and Muscoy.
The election is scheduled for California’s Presidential Primary Election on June 7, 2016.
