PRESS ENTERPRISE: Assemblywoman Cheryl Brown gets Democratic endorsement
By Press Enterprise Staff
Assemblywoman Cheryl R. Brown’s re-election campaign for California’s 47th Assembly District received enough support to secure the state Democratic Party’s recommendation for endorsement, according to a news release.
According to laws put in place by the California Democratic Party, candidates must receive at least 70 percent of the district’s delegates support at the “pre-convention endorsement caucus” held January. Brown reportedly has 82 percent support. Endorsements will take place at the California Democratic Party convention scheduled Feb. 26-28.
“I am truly grateful and honored to receive the support from Democratic Delegates in the 47th Assembly District and proud to carry the Democratic Party endorsement once again into the November election,” said Brown in a news release.
